I jump destinations faster than many people change underwear in a rainstorm. I have been in Brazil for the past few weeks and was planning on spending about 2 months there. I had my hotel all booked and was happy with the way things were going. I have spent a great deal of time in talking to my BF in Thailand about University and we have gone over many options. I knew the only way I was going to be able to help him is to be with him so I packed up and flew from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Atlanta spent the night with family and then headed to LA, spend another night at an airport hotel and then flew to Thailand. It is only March and I just maintained my Platinum status for Delta for 2011. I am not sure how I did this in only 2 ˝ months but I was happy that I got the notification today. The one thing I will say is that I learned that the most important part of Delta is the new upgrade certificates. I received 4 of them for making Platinum today and I went into my account and saw that I have 8 total and did not use the last 4, which expire in July. They are good for First Class upgrades. I have not used them so anyone that has, the more information I can get I would appreciate it.

My family really wants my BF to study in the USA for 4 years (they know it will keep me there longer each year and think it would be a good experience for him). So I presented this option to him with the school we want him to go to. I showed him the website and went over all the details of the experience. I can get him into the school with no problem and now the decision is up to him as to which direction he wants to take. I am putting no pressure on him and it is totally his choice. But, the school in the USA is a great opportunity for him and I hope he warms up to the idea. He said today that it is what he wants to do but is worried he will struggle with the language. I told him that he would have a hard time with it but that I would help him and that I have family that will help him. Next week we will visit the other 3 universities he likes in Thailand and see if any of them are going to be what works best for him. It will be an interesting month, as he will have a lot of work to prepare for whatever his decision will be.

I ate lunch at Mr. Z’s Salt and Pepper Restaurant in Day Night 2. For me there is no place that has better food value and a nice staff. I still love going and chatting with the owner and watching the sexy boys walk by. I had to take a short walk into Tut Com and in there either many people were trying to get out of the heat or many people are buying electronics.

My first walk around Sunee was interesting. There are many places that are closed and locked. Villa Rouge is one and Jimm Jimmy is the other that I noticed.

There are also several bars that seem to consistently keep a good crowd. Duc’s Bar and Come In Bar and Oud’s Place are just 3 examples where I rarely see them empty. I didn’t get a chance to meet the new owner’s of Corner Bar and I arrived before the crowds started. Duc’s Bar is one of my favorites as it has a great staff and an owner with wit and intelligence. At least when I saw him tonight he didn’t say his usual, “My have you have put on a few pounds haven’t you?” Oh well, at least 10 other boys said that to me. I had too good of a trip to Brazil and I hope I’ll be able to loose a few pounds during my Thailand trip.

The new swimming pool looks great. I had a chance to see it in the daylight today and again at night. It was very well done and looked clean and lovely. I’ll always refer to it as Monty’s Pool but I know that will not be the name.

The gogo bars are very sparse and few boys were on stage in the ones I went into. It is low season and therefore I can’t say for sure with only one night visit. I went into 2 gogo bars and they had very sexy boys and few customers. Being so tired, I have not had a chance to recover from my trip yet so I’ll try to do an update when I am feeling better. Having flown for over 48 hours in airplanes in the last 4 days has been brutal but my body is trying to recover tonight and I hope it does not take too long to adjust.

I now am a Delta flyer after NWA merged with them but am unaware of any upgrade certificates. Maybe only for Platinum? I am just a Gold. But do get upgrades to First Class (domestic) if seats available.

I think it is for Platinum. You may want to check your profile to see if you have any as I did not know I had 4 there. Go to My Profile and then I think it is the last tab there for Certificates.
