Hi all
Several people have said I should start a blog, so here goes. I have visisted Thailand three time since October 2006, spending abot six months total. I met a Thai boy that I am now living with, and decided to return to Thailand full time. I packed up all my property (my junk) from my apartment in Sacramento, CA, and moved it to a storage facility in Las Vegas, NV, near my sister's residnece. I also sold my new Chevy Tahoe. I arrived on my latest trip in August 19.
Ya, my boyfriend, met me at the airport, and we rode into Bangkok in a Swiss Lodge car, where we had reservations for six nights. Swiss lodge was very nice, but a little pricy, as it was about $100 US per night for a suite. We were on the same floor as the pool, and had a very nice room. Ya has an Aunt and cousins in Bangkok, and we visited them the first evening, and had dinner with the family.
During our stay we had several good meals including Coyote Mexican food, and our last night in town we ate at Sphinx, which has become our regular stop for dinner out last night in town. One evening we had dinner with Ya's Aunt and Cousin on the boar LoyNava, having a nice dinner as we cruised the river in Bangkok. We had one evening in Soi Twilight, and again I was suprised with what the show in Bangkok don't leave out!! The actions on stage leave nothing to the imagination.
i also went to work on my Retirement Visa while in Bangkok, going to the US Embassy and getting a confirmation of income...almost too easy, as you arrive, take a number, within a few minutes are called to a window, givn a form to fill out, pay your free, and in about 15 minutes be handed your proof of income with the Embassy Seal on the letter.
I then went ahead and went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where for 400 baht, I got a sticker on the back of the form from the Leaglization Department saying the form was for real.
We also went to MBK and siam Center on day, did several walking tours of the area, and just had a good time together after a four month separation by me being in the US.
On Saturday morning, we left Bangkok, and flew by Thai Air from the old airport to Phuket, where I will continue later.
