I was just there in Thailand last October. Had a great time in Chiang Mai, a lot of fun in Phuket, a great time in Bangkok and fun filled days and nights in Pattaya!

I had plans to return in April and stay till mid May. Today I sent notice to my manager to cancel my vacation. April is approaching far to fast and I feel as if I was just there and I'm not in the mood to return just yet.

It was my plan to visit in April and return again in october but now I'm thinking to skip April and just stay 4 weeks in october.

The funny thing is that I look forward to being on the flight more than I do the destination. I think my thailand holidays are becoming an ordinary part of my life.

Sigh...... oh, don't cry for me Pattaya.... The truth is I never left you......

Sigh...... oh, don't cry for me Pattaya.... The truth is I never left you......

........All through my wild days, my mad existence
I kept my promise
But now I need to keep my distance

And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired
The gogos and the bars are illusions, not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you, and you love my wallet
Don't cry for me, Pattaya

Don't cry for me, Pattaya
The truth is, I never left you
All through my wild days, my mad existence
I kept my promise
Now I need to keep my distance
Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true

Anyone who visits Pattaya more than once can never leave...

On a dark desert highway Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night.
There she stood in the doorway. I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
Then she lit up a candle And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor I thought I heard them say

"Welcome to the Hotel Pattayaland
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel Pattayaland
Any time of year (Any time of year) You can find it here"

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted She got the Mercedes Bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys She calls friends
How they dance in the gogos Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain "Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969"
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night Just to hear them say

"Welcome to the Hotel Pattayaland
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place) Such a lovely face
They living it up at the Hotel Pattayaland
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise) Bring your alibis"

Mirrors on the ceiling The pink champagne on ice
And she said: "We are all just prisoners here Of our own device"
And in the master's chambers They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember, I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back To the place I was before
"Relax," said the night man "We are programmed to receive
You can check out any time you like But you can never leave!"

[with apologies to Don Henley]
